Light Reflectors

A reflector (or ‘light hood’) is an essential component of plant lighting. It helps you make the most of the light from your grow-lamp by increasing light intensity and maximising the amount of light to your plants, while minimising the occurance of harmful reflectivity ‘hot-spots’ in your growing area.

All of our reflectors are horizontal hanging reflectors, specifically designed for horticultural use in an indoor environment with HID lamps.

Air-Cooled Reflectors

Air-cooled lighting uses ducting and an inline fan to extract heat away from the lamp and out of the growing area. Most air-cooled reflectors are also sealed with toughened-glass, isolating the heat of the lamp from the cooler environment outside the reflector unit.

Air-cooling offers several benefits to the indoor gardener:-

• Reduces or eliminates (summertime) heat problems—lamps being the primary source of unwanted heat
• Gives greater control over the temperature and humidity of the plants’ environment, allowing optimum growth rate management for the development of healthier plants, with improved structure and flower formation
• Allows grow-light(s) to be placed closer to the plants, increasing the intensity of the light they receive—resulting in faster growth rates and a larger final yield
• Separation of light cooling from the main grow-room ventilation system is necessary when using carbon dioxide—allowing grow-room temperature to be controlled even when the main air extraction system is switched off

Intended for use with HID lighting equipment, our reflectors all feature a standard E40 fitting (lamp socket) and have a lengthy power cable terminated with a standard IEC connector for easy connection to a remote ballast.

The reflectors we offer are all UK-made, manufactured to BSI standards and are fully CE compliant. All of our reflectors are backed by a full manufacturer’s guarantee.

All grow-light reflectors are supplied pre-wired, ready for immediate use.
